Annual membership, with a reduced rate for members from low- and middle-income countries and free membership for those who can't afford the fee. Applications are reviewed by the membership committee.
Why is there a membership fee?
OSRC is a non-profit, registered international organisation, independent from any university, government or private enterprise. The fee covers administrative costs, and it's not unusual for open-source products to charge for extra services, the way WordPress charges for plug-ins.
