"How to Write a Manuscript" part-time, online, postgraduate level course

This course is delivered by the University of Edinburgh in partnership with the BJS Institute.

The BJS Foundation will financially support one nominee from OSRC to participate in this accredited course.
Nominees will be required to submit the necessary documentation prior to starting their application. This will allow BJS to address any concerns early, confirm eligibility, and ensure that you have the opportunity to nominate an alternative candidate if needed. This process is designed to minimise dropouts and maximise the value of your partner benefits.
 
Key Checklist for Nominees:

• Time Commitment: be able to set aside a minimum of 20 hours per week between 15 September and 17 October 2025 (total of 100 hours) to complete all learning activities and assessment. The nominee is required to engage with learning activities on a regular basis throughout each week that the course runs. Failure to engage with learning activities and assessment to a satisfactory level may result in the nominee failing, or being withdrawn, from the course.  
• Qualifications: A medical degree or UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in a subject related to healthcare, medical writing or publishing is required
• English Language Proficiency: Demonstrate English competency in line with the University of Edinburgh language requirements. If English is not their first language, they may need to take an English Language test.
• Application Start Deadline: Nominees must begin their application no later than Monday, 2 June.  Failure to meet this deadline will result in forfeiting their place in the September course.

BJS-OSRC session in Cairo

The OpenSourceResearch Collaboration in collaboration with BJS Academy and The Egyptian Society Of Colorectal Surgeons is pleased to announce the BJS-OSRC session about innovation in surgery.
